# Areas of Research

We have a broad interest in non-Newtonian fluid mechanics. Our scientific motivation is to understand natural phenomena, resolve industrial problems and explain the behavior of complex systems from a fundamental physical perspective. Some of our current research foci include the following.

** 1. Suspensions of noncolloidal particles in yield stress fluids: fluid mechanics, rheology and microstructure.**

** 2. Design of colloids with specific rheology and properties.**

** 3. Developing mathematical algorithms to optimize processing and visualizing of massive amounts of experimental data.**

** 4. Multi-fluid processes with yield stress fluids.**
