Areas of Research

We have a broad interest in non-Newtonian fluid mechanics. Our scientific motivation is to understand natural phenomena, resolve industrial problems and explain the behavior of complex systems from a fundamental physical perspective. Some of our current research foci include the following.

1. Suspensions of noncolloidal particles in yield stress fluids: fluid mechanics, rheology and microstructure.

2. Design of colloids with specific rheology and properties.

3. Developing mathematical algorithms to optimize processing and visualizing of massive amounts of experimental data.

4. Multi-fluid processes with yield stress fluids.
